Description

This unit is the first of two linked 10-credit modules which consider the depictions of minorities identity in France in terms of ethnicity, gender, religious beliefs, class and sexuality from the late nineteenth century to the late twentieth century. The focus of the unit will be to analyse the construction of identity found in works of fiction, but also in works of critical theory, history and sociology. The course is taught and assessed in French.
